Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei — arguably three of the most remarkable minds to have ever lived. Yet, as with many of history’s greatest minds, none were fortunate enough to bear witness to the information age.

It makes you wonder what their reaction might be were they to discover the internet today. Amongst the endless stream of memes, news and clickbait, the internet provides a sanctuary for curious minds.

Within this sanctuary lies a corner of YouTube — an incredible resource for free and open education. In recognition of that, I thought I’d share a brief selection of some of my favourite channels for everything from science to personal reflection.
